If your daughter is selected to a tournament team, you need to inform the tournament team directors of any scheduled vacations or time away during the tournament season. Playing tournament ball is a privilege, and a solid commitment has to be made to the team during this season.

Players are required to make every attempt to attend all practices and games (barring any injury.)

Tournament ball unlike in-house ball is considerably more competitive. Therefore, if you are unable to commit to any of the above guidelines perhaps you may want to reconsider moving forward through the tournament ball process.

These are the goals that we will attempt to achieve:

Ensure everyone’s safety, Instill confidence in addition to team building.

Instill a winning attitude, have fun while trying to play the game properly. Play extremely competitive.

Girls will be competing against one another to secure a spot on the roster.

Playing tournament ball is a privilege & competitive, depending upon the circumstances; some girls may have more playing time than others. (This will be based upon the competitive & immediate needs of the team)

New Addition to Regulation IV (i)

An addition to Regulation IV with regard to Minor League Baseball and Minor League Softball will permit a defensive player who has played defensively since the start of a half-inning to be credited with having played for three defensive outs when that half-inning is shortened by the five-run limit.

The addition to Regulation IV (i) below is to take effect on Feb. 15, 2008. It will be included in the 2009 rule books.

Note 3: In Minor League, if a half-inning ends because of the imposition of the five-run limit in “Rule 2.00 – Inning,” and a player on the defense has played for the entire half-inning, that player will be considered to have participated for three consecutive defensive outs for the purposes of this rule. However, if the player has not played on defense for the entire half-inning, that player will be credited only as having played for the number of outs that occurred while the player was used defensively.
